Trump, Bible Prophecy, Politics and Blogging

Keep blogging on a platform that is against freedom of speech and is silencing by demonetizing, black-listening, algorithms and all the weapons they have against those who don't share "official" narratives?
The conundrum we are all facing especially bloggers which medium is no longer popular.
Keep blogging about happy and beautiful topics and these topics only?
Nope. Especially for someone whose country is facing a nazi-fascist regime thanks to US.
This blog is immaterial. Once it had even reached a "voice".
Those days are over.
This blog has already "disappeared in 2011. Here.

Google algorithm censorship: blocking political viewpoints

Two years ago Google announced changes to the search engineering  to prevent the access of "conspiracy theories" - whatever they mean by this expression - and fake news (who judges what is fake news?)
The old excuse of "protecting the citizens" is showing its real purpose that is not even necessary to describe.
There is more under this good deed:

New Google algorithm restricts access to left-wing, progressive web sites
By Andre Damon and Niles Niemuth   27 July 2017
(Excerpt)
...."Just last month, the European Commission fined the company $2.7 billion for manipulating search results to inappropriately direct users to its own comparison shopping service, Google Shopping. Now, it appears that Google is using these criminal methods to block users from accessing political viewpoints the company deems objectionable."...
Entire article here.

This blog you're reading has already disappear in 2011. Both my blogs and google accounts were unavailable despite the fact that it is a diverse blog that approaches politics occasionally when the subject is too serious:
They appeared after the complaint above.
Now this blog who once had a certain number of visitors, especially about Art that is it's main topic, disappeared from the search.  I don't claim it was a huge success but it was far better from what is happening now.
Google used to put on the search all my posts.
It has stopped.
I don't want to become a success but blogs are still important as a tool to raise the questions, subjects and viewpoints not possible to find on the mainstream media.
But that's all right. What is being done to some YouTube channels is appalling. We keep going anyway.

Acrobats

They have to bend or they might fall.
I do the same when necessary.

I'm sorry for that.

Update: The problem is in my computer as Mark has told me in a comment.
I'll download the thing that is missing.
Sorry!

Update2:
I downloaded and installed shokwave even thou it was activated.
The problem persists.

Update3:
Problem solved after disabling a plugin as explained in this site:

African countries visiting this blog

I'm dedicating this post to the Africans that visit this blog. These are the visits until the middle of my day.
I love when I watch a flag from an African country when I take a look at the stats.
Thank you all.

Hella Heaven in numbers: something must be good

Whenever I take a look at the numbers that this blog has reached I don't know what to think. Number of hits, number of followers... I don't know.
I think it is too much.
As I said... I don't know what to thank. Thank you very much for giving me a reason to keep going.

Bloggers shuts down on June

I'm a member of this directory for a long time and made numerous friends from many countries.
This site doesn't have a single advertisement and is totally dedicated to create a relationship among bloggers and promote blogs.

What a sad  place to live when everything has to be sponsored by companies and only money can make things keep going.

It is a huge lost for many bloggers used to rely on Bloggers to find blogs and socialize with their authors.

Anonymous comments disabled due to numerous bot's spams: Blogger's captcha's fault

The three readers of this blog, thank you mom, dad and daughter, must remember that Blogger urged blogspot's bloggers to stop using their captcha because it takes numerous trials and errors.
What was once an easy task was turned into a nightmare and blogspot doesn't change it back or make any attempt to make it easier.

I did disabled captcha but I'm having to delete numerous spams. I don't know how to solve it.
For the moment I'll pray for a change in captcha's blogspot nightmare.

Blogspot urges bloggers not to use their crazy captcha

It is quite surreal. I wrote a post about how absurd Blogger's captcha has become. Instead of changing Blogger is asking us not to use captcha at their blog The Real Blogger Status. They wrote a post claiming that Blogger's captcha is a puzzle that can lead the commenter frustrated after trying more than twice to find the right letters.

They wrote as if it is a novelty to bloggers and even encourages us to comment in our own blog as a guess:
"Then ask yourself how many of your readers will have the patience, to solve a CAPTCHA, every time they wish to publish a comment?"
Am I going crazy here? They did the changes and .instead of making it easier they ask us not to use it and even suggests that captcha is not necessary.

I don't understand why Blogger change things for worse. When I started blogging it was easy and we had to write a single word. They "improved" for the actual version.
They also "improved" putting Settings/Template/Layout and other stuffs all together making it harder for us to find how to change. Sometimes I have to google where is the item I want to change.

Well, maybe it costs money or a lot of work to change captcha like "4 + __= 6".
Ken Foster left this comment at the post I wrote about this issue:

Ken Foster said...
Hey Ana,

I hate those things - they're maddening!. A couple of years ago my whole blog was hacked/packed with Chinese advertisements so I have kept that option ticked. Is this still an issue? Is there a good workaround? I'm guessing not because I see I have to go through the same to post on your blog. Oh, and since when 1176 argalgD a word? ;)

BTW, thanks for the comments you did make!! :)

September 19, 2012 at 5:20

I have already had people complaining about it. I don't know what to do because I need captcha and moderation,
I'l talk to friends to see what they think about it.
And, of course, leave you comment. (Grrrrrrrr....)

Update:

I deactivated the captcha one hour ago. I had to delete. I'll leave it like this for 24 hours and count them.
This is the problem. I'll have to take a look at each comment to check of it is from a human being or a bot.
Me: "Do you understand the problem Blogger? The consequences of following your advice of not using captcha?"

Blogger: "Of course I do but I don't care."
When we leave a comment a their blog they don't publish it. Why don't they deactivate comments?
Maybe it's because they don't have captcha activated and it would take a lot of time to screen.

Fashion and advertisement imposing behaviors and shaping characters

I always payed attention in advertisements and fashion in a very critical way and the fact that people buy without questioning any ideology fashioners and advertisers sell amazes me.

I was going to publish a post I did but decided to take a look on what others were thinking about this phenomenon and came across with this post at the blog Comu1000 by Judy Griffiths.
She is not updating but I hope she comes back because she has a very good collection of posts.
This is one of them:

Ideologies

"Dear readers,

The time has come for me to attempt to shine a light upon the generalised and stereotypical fortresses of ideology that advertising constructs itself behind. Through the construction of ideologies, advertisers create a paradigm that we as receivers of a text feel we need to accept and adhere to. It is a powerful marketing tool, influencing consumers to believe that they are a piece of the puzzle without giving them the time to consider whether they even want to be a part of the puzzle.

Take my first example here, Lamborghini Tractors. It may come as a surprise to some people that the luxury car brand Lamborghini manufactures tractors, but in fact that is how the brand began. The brand Lamborghini itself is an ideology that produces connotations aligned with luxury, reputation, prestige, design, style and expense. What this advertisement attempts to do is transfer this ideology onto its tractors. The woman in the picture aligns with the mainstream connotations of the Lamborghini brand, while she stands next to a farmer that represents the utility of the tractors.

In my second example, the fashion brand Sisley depicts a rather controversial image. The advertisement is built upon the fashion ideology, however also borrows ideology from the drug world. This advertisement constructs itself to lure receivers into a world of high fashion and drug abuse as though it is an elite world. As ideologies do, this advertisement orients viewers to accept this behaviour as fashionable without giving an option otherwise. The sender offers the receiver of this text to interprellate the role; the image offers the viewer an invitation into a very ‘exclusive’ world.

Ideologies assume a lot from us as consumers, and more often than not we are oblivious to the social relations that are pushed upon us; we allow ideologies to shape our thoughts and distort our opinions. It is important for us, as consumers, to step back from this stereotypical chaos and attempt to disengage with ideologies at times in order to make better informed decisions and opinions. So my question to you this week is: Do you think that you are easily influenced by ideologies constructed in advertising?"

Take care friends.

What to blog?

I believe that most bloggers have second thoughts during some activities:
"Is it blog material?"
I just hope nobody ends a friendship: "You know... the truth is you're not blogworthy. Sorry."

Blogger: Make a backup of your blog

For how long you don't save a backup of your blog?
It takes one minute:

1 Go to Dashboard and click at Settings (last choice at the left).
2 In Settings click at "Other" (also last choice)
3 Click at "Export blog" and you'll have a .xml archive downloaded.

I just did it because... we never know.

Blogspot's captcha among the worst

Whenever I visit Ken's blog I feel like commenting in many posts because I love his work.

Unfortunately Blogspot changed it's "you're not a robot" verification and it is an ordeal to decipher what is written.

People think twice before clicking to comment and now another reason not to comment.

What is the future of blog's content?

Is that the question? I don't know, I'm just thiking about what is the point in keep going.

I've been blogging since 2008 and for the fist time I'm asking what is going to happen whith what I did and if it is worthy keep going.
I did a search about the future of blogging but only those who are interested in marketing are discussing and this is not what I have in mind.

Last Tuesday there were 7,600 hits and most people came to read the post about 9/11 I did last year, "Are we all 9/11 survivors?" It was a surprise because I didn't publish anything about 9/11 this year and would even repeat the same I wrote last year.

What does it say? I don't know. I blog for many reasons and not knowing what is going to happen with what I'm doing makes me a little frustrated.
I'm not doing it to be known or any other reason. I just feel like saying a lot of things about what is happening in this world and sharing what people are doing.

Don't know. I think that things will change and what I'm doing will just disappear as if it has never been done.
I take this blog as a work. For what?

A strange HTML code can ruin your blog

I was working on a post and I was trying to put some images side by side but as they were more than four I searched for "how to put images side by side
I found the Etsy Blog Team 's post "How to post images side by side" and used a HTML code they give.
I tried using the code but it didn't work so I didn't publish the post.

For my surprise all the posts with images side by side changed. The original edition I did was modified.
I don't know why the space between the images was increased and all the posts I edited in the whole blog with images side by side were altered and look awful
I don't have any idea how to change it back. I guess something was altered at the template.

It took me a lot of time trying the code... and this is the result. The strange is that I didn't even publish the post. Just trying it altered everything.
Be careful when using tips about HTML even if the site sounds reliable.
Grrr.....
Thank you Etsy team...

I've redone this post according to the new size so that it could have the original format. The pictures have to be huge.
The rest of the blog... I'll relax.

3 years blog anniversary

I didn't notice that on 13 March it was the third year of this blog but today the 300th follower appeared.
I didn't ask anybody to follow and I didn't do any of the strategies to conquer followers because I take it as a way to see how people are responding to what I'm doing.

I'm never happy with what I'm doing. It was easier at the beginning and maybe the posts I like the most are from the first year. I'm always insecure and think that I should change something but I don't know what to do.
This 300 people that came here and decided to join gave me an idea that I'm doing something good.
I want to thank you and if you decide to unfollow it is not a problem because I know that at least for a period of time you found something worthy at this blog.

Three years of Hella Heaven and it seems to me that I didn't even started, or, the opposite, I'll not be able to do any other post, or, the ever lasting question: "Why keep blogging?" haunts again.
It is very hard to measure what we are doing in our blogs.

Blogspot made bloggers lose Alexa's rank: what next?

Google changed our YouTube channel and we lost friends, comments, the possibility to share ideas with other people.
There are people who are disappearing from YouTube.
Now I came across with this Alexa stuff.
If you didn't understand:
"For this changes all blogspot blogs losses it's alexa rank and shows #10,897,213. So all the blogspot bloggers very disappointed of this changes. But if you use custom domain for your blogs you won't worry about this because there is nothing changes to your blog URL.
So friends it is time to change your blogspot blogs to custom domain." source Tech Shortly.
I'm scary now because they can change our blogs the way they want. All of a sudden they can turn all the templates into one format and it will... well... they can do a lot of things.
It is time to rethink about it all.
It is amazing! Not a single good news!

Update April, 2
The problem is not on American blogs. Only if you blog from outside US you'll not get the Alexa's updates.
You can solve it by changing the .com. (your country) for .com/ncr
like this:
http://hellaheaven-ana.blogspot.com.br is changed for  http://hellaheaven-ana.blogspot.com/ncr
and the result will be: http://hellaheaven-ana.blogspot.com where we can have the Alexa's updates corrected.

Urgent: Avoid loosing all blogspot's pictures by not deleting Google plus albums

The left image is the replacement you'll have if you delete your Google+ album.

I have already seen two blogs that had all their pictures removed so I decided to search the reason to protect myself.

When I visited my profile at Google+ I had the surprise of finding all my blog's pictures, including those who are in draft, in an album.
I felt a little invaded cause I didn't add them but knowing that all we do over the internet is not private I recovered from the shock without even needing to go to a therapist.

I thought about deleting but... I don't use Google+ because I have a Facebook account and, oh! please!, start building it up all over again? I closed the window after setting them not to be visible for others.

The important is: DON'T DELETE PICTURES AT GOOGLE+ because they will be deleted from your blog permanently.
There is a good post about it at Blogger Sentral.
