Moebius strip cartoon by Jim Woodring

Moebius strip comic - Jim Woodring
It is so good when we find something amazing even when we feel a fool because the work of the person is famous.
I just came across with Jim Woodring work and I'm so happy to discover someone who speaks to children and adult's imagination and enchantment. Jim is the creator of the famous Frank comic that I still don't know.
This cartooned moebius strip is great is still enchanting me and I feel like doing one.

A literary depiction of the moebius-strip and Sisyphus myth

 LOOP
 © Ben White 2002

"You mean it goes around in a loop?"
"Exactly right, a loop, yes."
"I looked around the room. It was very small and very bare."
"There's no way out."
"None at all. We're stuck doing the same thing over and over again."
"You mean it goes around in a loop?"

The moebius-strip, joining the ends of the strip to form a loop, is very known and has already been at two posts at this blog.I loved this micro-fiction because it is a literary depiction of a moebius-strip and it also reminds me Camus's Sisyphus myth: "One must imagine Sisyphus happy" even tho he is condemned to repeat the same action for eternity.
Cheat: if you didn't get it compare the first and last sentence of the dialog.
I want to thank again Wilson Voight for introducing me another good text.

Escher Moebius strip and Camus's myth of Sisyphus

Here is a variant of the Moebius Strip formed out of Escher's ants walking forever and covering both sides of the ring. Click on this small movie on the right to see the real large version.
At this site "Escher for Real" there are works of Escher that are not illusions and they did a great work showing the real side of Escher's work.
I only pity these ants that will walk forever without going anywhere but I did a post about Camus Myth of Sisyphus so "One must imagine the ants happy".
