Amazon forest and Brazilians are being murdered

There is English subtitle in this video that explains how the 60% part of Amazon that is in Brazil has been vampirized for decades by Brazilian government policies of exporting it's richest sources as commodities for nations which couldn't care less about other people's countries.
Very informative with historical explanations.
Notice that Rita, the owner of the channel, is a drag and it is a great example of the empowerment of "minorities" through exercising full citizenship.
Those who belong to identity politics groups must start thinking about being part of the society discussing all issues.

Viral pictures: Boeing 727 house in the woods

This is intriguing.
Where is it? you might be asking:

"Although not in plain sight, it is a plane to see; buried deep within 10 acres of woods just outside Portland, Oregon is a retired Boeing 727 that has been transformed into an unearthly living space.

The aircraft’s owner, Bruce Campbell (unfortunately not of “Evil Dead” fame), has been living in the airplane 6 months each year since purchasing the plane in 1999 for $100,000. Equipped with water, electricity, and sewage plus 1,066 square-feet of interior space, Campbell’s airplane home is pretty plush for all its eccentricities"

Aw! Blue Racer Snake is a photography by Jeramie Curtice

Blue Racer Snake is a photography by Jeramie Curtice which was uploaded on March 29th, 2012 here.
This is what Mr. Curtice wrote about this shot:

Jeramie Curtice  Thanks Sharon. They are blue and fast, hence the name blue racer. This one took off on me almost as fast as I could jog as it found the nearest tree and then stopped at eye level for a pose.

Kevin Frayer photos of bird landing on top of Taj Mahal during Venus transit

A bird sits atop one of the domes of the landmark Taj Mahal as Venus, top left, begins to pass in front of the sun, as visible from Agra, India, on June 6, 2012.        (Kevin Frayer/Associated Press)

When I looked at this picture I thought it was a drawing but it is a photography. Amazing.

Wordless Sunday: a picture worth a thousand words

Maybe not a thousand. The question is: do we have to verbalize everything?
Behold the kid!

The Russian Mcdonalds

MacDonald's at Red Square
Picture by Simon Griffiths at Flickr.

The capitalist American icon is operating in Russia for more than twenty years and according to Reuters "McDonald's, the world's biggest restaurant company by revenue, also plans to open at least 150 self-operated restaurants in Russia over the next three years."

I'll never understood how can people like burgers from fast-food chains. The fried potatoes taste like plastic and the meat... meat?
I ate three in this lifetime because there was no alternative and I was starving.  It might be because of the extremely low price that people eat it.

Buying real meat and doing it at home is cheaper. A hamburger can be done very quickly and it only takes a paper bag to carry it.

But Mcdonald's in Siberia will soon be a reality starting with five restaurants in Novosibirsk with 50 seats each.
Bon Appetit!

Aww! Puppy's activities are so funny!

But... NO! is the word s/he has to be told if you want your dog to behave and prevent the destruction of your furniture, carpet, shoes, and so on.

It's heartbreaking but it has to be done for his own sake and for a peaceful environment.

My puppy is finally giving up biting my hands, feet and some objects. He seems to know what are his toys and when he gets something he runs to a hidden place or the area he plays with his toys. I laugh inside but... "NO! Drop it"..  he drops.

I had a three months dog once but I didn't know how to teach him so the doctor who gave him to me asked me if I wanted to have the dog that was at his clinic. I accepted. It was like winning a prize for she is a real lady and very healthy for a dog that is 15 years-old and was diagnosed with cancer in 2008. I don't have any funny stories to tell because she does everything right.

Picture: I came across with this site and I don't know what came into me that I got Waldek Dabrowski's picture, runned to this editor and... it appeared here. I hope he doesn't come after me: "NO!"

A bathroom is not a bathroom, is not a bathroom, is not a bathroom

This is a photography by CEA and it's title is Coming Home.
It dazzles me in two ways: I look at each detail and think about the person who did it with care choosing the fabrics and creating the room piece by piece.
Then I look at the bathroom but it loses it's function and become a place of poetic appeal. I ask myself who lives there, the tiles... my mind keeps going.

Craig Alan's portrays and his people's technique

He had the idea when he was taking pictures from the sixth floor and saw an image in a crowd.

Influenced by T.L. Lange, Andy Warhol, Robert Rauschenberg, Wanda Sullivan, Richard Diebenkorn, Tommy Taylor and Jasper Johns he keeps the Pop Art flame alive creating this iconic pictures of artists, politicians and singers using people as pixels.
