V-J day in Times Squares Alfred Eisenstaedt photography and J. Seward Johnson sculpture

V–J day in Times Square, a photograph by Alfred Eisenstaedt, was published in Life in 1945 with the caption, In New York's Times Square a white-clad girl clutches her purse and skirt as an uninhibited sailor plants his lips squarely on hers.
Unconditional Surrender by J. Seward Johnson often compared to the photograph V–J day in Times Square by Alfred Eisenstaedt.
Have a great weekend.

This is such a classic photograph. My father came home during this time and this picture has always marked his return. I love what was done to recreate this beauty. Unconditional Surrender is a perfect caption too.

Have a terrific day Ana. Big hug. :)

Yes. I know this picture since I was a teenager but I didn't know what was it all about.
I found it beautiful ant thought that it should be a movie or something like that.
I'm glad to know your story.
Have a great day you too!
