Antidepressants: "more lives taken than saved" claims Dr. David Healy

"Isoniazid, reserpine, imipramine, atropine, stimulants, benzodiazepines, antipsychotics, fluoxetine*, ketamine – all have antidepressant credentials. The word coined by Max Lurie has lost meaning; it’s a basket for acronyms. Psychiatry was the first branch of medicine to have specialist hospitals and journals, the first to adopt controlled trials, rating scales, and guidelines. The antidepressants beckoned us toward clinical neuroscience but have led to myth, hidden data, ghostwriting, more lives taken than saved, womb to tomb consumption, and an increased incidence of “depression” from 1 per 1,000 to 1 in 5 of us.
Knowing when not to prescribe is the greatest art in medicine."

Checkers: patience

I've been playing those games we all know and used to play when we were children. I didn't have patience to think all the possible outcomes of one move and this is the most important factor in many games.

I'm noticing it now. We have a card game, a little bit bit like canasta, but it's a version that only Brazilians play.
I remember that the first round I did well. The second not that much and at the rest of the game, we played for hours, my mind was on something else.

Fortunately my partner was kind enough not to call me names or those other compliments we pay when we get tired of losing.

I declined learning chess because I refused to memorize all those moves. So checkers was the only possibility although I also didn't have patience for more than two or three rounds. I always lost and it happened very quickly. Today I played this one and it took me a while to win.
Patience is the answer.

Macaw couples in Brazil

Macaws are very known in Brazil and we are so used to them that we forget to pay attention.

I found the picture of the top left and noticed that the contours around both makes a heart.

I tried to identify the photographer but didn't succeed but other pictures of these birds made me see the beauty. The couples are seen flying in the skies at the state of Mato Grosso in the pantanal region.

The blue macaws are my favorites.

The Grinch is ruining Xmas

Canada
Tuesday November 20, 2012

In Kingston, it’s not the Grinch but a 24-year-old man who police say stole Christmas.

As Christmas-themed floats slowly rolled down Princess St. during Kingston’s annual Santa Claus parade, an intoxicated man shouted blasphemous lies to shocked children: Santa doesn’t exist.

The man, whose gelled hair “looked like a set of devil horns protruding from his head,” was reported to Kingston police, Const. Steve Koopman said.

Police arrested a 24-year-old man around 6 p.m.

“It was pretty despicable that someone, during this time of the year, would tell kids Santa isn’t real — which of course we would argue,” Koopman said. (keep reading)

Sandy's Hook School-shooting Hidden Objects: Obama parting with parents and Robbie Parker acting

This is my first hidden object game and as I had this picture I used it as trial. These women are the mothers of some of the children allegedly killed in Sandy Hook school. At The Daily Mail there are other pictures of the smiling people.

Take a look at the video below where  the actor Robbie Parker is talking and smiling to everybody and change to the crying father when the show begins. Quite a performance! This is spooky.

Addicted to hidden objects game

I did the "Hidden World of Art" again and got the first position.
What an accomplishment! I scored the first and the third place. Mom is very happy.

The good thing about this game is that while searching for objects the player immerses in the picture which gives an understandment of the objects and architecture of  the painting's period and also an appreciation of the oeuvre.

The living-room on the right is the result of the points that are used to buy each item.

As I said I didn't like the second version of the game  and I'm trying to find a good one. For free? Yes. A proof that I love searching for hidden stuffs. It is not easy to make a good game.

Operation Himmler: Nazi's false flag project to legitimize the invasion of Poland

Naturally the common people don’t want war, neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in America, nor in Germany. That is understood. But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.” - Hermann Goering

Operation Himmler, a Nazi Germany SS project to create the appearance of Polish aggression against Germany, which would be used to justify the subsequent invasion of Poland.

On the night of 31 August 1939 a small group of German operatives, dressed in Polish uniforms and led by Alfred Naujocks, seized the Gleiwitz station and broadcast a short anti-German message in Polish (sources vary on the content on the message).

Several prisoners (most likely from the Dachau concentration camp) and a local Polish-Silesian activist (arrested a day before) were left dead on the scene in Polish uniforms.

Who was the first victim of a war that would do more than forty million of them? It was a prisoner of the Nazi concentration camps (probably Dachau) used in a German secret operation that would lead to the outbreak of World War II.

Some months before the invasion of Poland by Germany, several German newspapers and other politicians like Adolf Hitler had already begun a national and international campaign accusing Polish authorities of organizing or tolerating violent ethnic cleansing of Germans living in Poland.

The August 22, 1939, Adolft Hitler warned his generals that he would get something that would legitimize an action war against Poland:

«I will provide a propagandistic casus belli. Its credibility doesn't matter. The victor will not be asked whether he told the truth

Then they launched a plan that had the name of its creator Heinrich Himmler and was initially supervised by Heinrich Müller and then by Reinhard Heydrich. The aim was to create the idea of a Polish aggression against Germany, which would later be used to justify the invasion of Poland. In addition, another of the intentions of Adolf Hitler was that such an operation would confuse the Poland allies (United Kingdom and France) and delay their declaration of war on Germany.

Operation Himmler had several episodes: (keep reading)

Very interesting footage from Die Deutsche Wochenschau in 1939. Most aspects of World War II from the German point of view are covered. Most scenes are of genuine combat in the Soviet Union, Italy, the Atlantic and the Western Front. Rare footage of Waffen SS, Panzer troops and Panzer Grenadiers, Luftwaffe, Kriegsmarine and the common German people are filmed in these extraordinary propaganda films.

Die Deutsche Wochenschau (The German Newsreel) was the sole series of German newsreels from 1940 until the end of World War II. It was usually narrated by Harry Giese (1903-1991)

US government is suspending freedom of speech in Connecticut

Connecticut

I just found this video, a must-see, and Martin, who has a great channel at Youtube, raises some important topics about our lives in a very nice way.
He talks about the possibility of Connecticut school-shootings being a false-flag for the purpose of banning weapons from America.

Search for "school-shooting false flag" and you'll find numerous sites discussing this possibility.

The message is:: Americans have to fight for your rights and try to have a realistic picture about what is going on in US and the world,
The world is upside down. America doesn't need play-writers to create horror. US government is doing a great job in creating massacres and even fictitious stories that are transmitted by CNN, ABC, FOX, CBS and all the others. And it is spread all over the world.

Watch the video an try to understand. It is about your life. Be selfish.

Debora Kerr

Our love affair is a wondrous thing
That we'll rejoice in remembering
Our love was born with our first embrace
And a page was torn out of time and space

Our love affair, may it always be
A flame to burn through eternity
So take my hand with a fervent prayer
That we may live and we may share
A love affair to remember

The Four Dogs series: last episode

"Those who want to continue the hunger strike raise their plates."

The Four Dogs series was not planed. I did published a picture in 2010 with four dogs and found two others with four dogs. I decided to make this series.
This the the twentieth and last picture of the series.
Most of the photographs are without the author because I found them like this.

Morgan Freeman's analysis about Connecticut shooting is a hoax

His death has already been reported  twice and now a statement attributed to Morgan Freeman about the Connecticut school-shooting is a hoax.

The statement blames the way the media approaches these tragedies:

"You want to know why. This may sound cynical, but here's why.

It's because of the way the media reports it. Flip on the news and watch how we treat the Batman theater shooter and the Oregon mall shooter like celebrities. Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris are household names, but do you know the name of a single *victim* of Columbine? Disturbed people who would otherwise just off themselves in their basements see the news and want to top it by doing something worse, and going out in a memorable way. Why a grade school? Why children? Because he'll be remembered as a horrible monster, instead of a sad nobody.

CNN's article says that if the body count "holds up", this will rank as the second deadliest shooting behind Virginia Tech, as if statistics somehow make one shooting worse than another. Then they post a video interview of third-graders for all the details of what they saw and heard while the shootings were happening. Fox News has plastered the killer's face on all their reports for hours. Any articles or news stories yet that focus on the victims and ignore the killer's identity? None that I've seen yet. Because they don't sell. So congratulations, sensationalist media, you've just lit the fire for someone to top this and knock off a day care center or a maternity ward next.

You can help by forgetting you ever read this man's name, and remembering the name of at least one victim. You can help by donating to mental health research instead of pointing to gun control as the problem. You can help by turning off the news."

These are not Morgan Freeman words but it raises good points.  Some sites went further and claimed that the perpetrator was on antidepressants SSRIs without any evidence.
Many school shootings, columbine included , were committed by  people who were under antidepressants SSRIs - Prozac-like. It is a fact.
Antidepressants SSRIs induces violent behavior especially when the dose is reduced or during the transition from one antidepressant to another.
Eric Harris, Columbine, was changing from Zoloft to Luvox.

Free game on Art

Yesterday I spent the whole day playing this game.
I've just finished and downloaded the number two 'The Hidden World of Art 2".
It's a free game and I think it's interesting for those who want to get  in touch with paintings or for those who want to pass the time. You can download it here or choose other hidden games that has to do with something you like. Click the image to enlarge. Do you know who is the painter? Hmm... I'm on vacation. I need to take a time.

Update: December, 12
The second game is not as good as the first one. so I gave up. One one of things that is amazing about electronic games is that everything has to do with money.
This one is no exception and the reward was money to buy furniture for a house.

Update: December 24
I tried again the second version. The choice of paintings is not good and the items are so hard to find that it gets irritating.
I kept going to see if it would get better but the more I insisted the more stressed.
If you want to make someone hate art and paintings you found a way. Give this link and I assure you that going to museums or galleries will be the last thing s/he will want to do.
I don't like writing about things I don't admire. It was my fault insisting.
I'm still looking for good games. If you know something it would be of great help.
